:pointr: Sorry I've been so busy lately. Not many people have school at this time, but I am one of those people who have school, and homework, and junk, and boring stuff that does not pertain to happy summer fun. GAH. My fun time is dwindling so much. ): SADFACE.

Art
:pointr: My art has really. Been. Not that good. I mean, I try new styles, try to improve, but it worsens. Does anyone know how to make a nice paint-ey effect in Photoshop?! I want to paint in photoshop but I don't know how to make the cool painting effect. ): I'm seriously in need of help. And I try to follow tutorials, but I suck. Like. I suck. I butcher people's tutorials. >m< -low self esteem moment- GAHHH. I get caught up in those a lot.
:pointr: And along with really bad art is really little art. I know it's supposed to be summer and all, and I'm supposed to draw more...but NOOO. -sad- I think it's my fault though. My art...it's getting worse. :noes: I need to draw more. Better. But I can't seem to improve. Whenever people draw awesome things, I try my hand at it and ruin it. HOW DO YOU GUYS DO IT?! HELP ME. PLEASE.
:pointr: ALSO. FEEL FREE TO SLAUGHTER MY ARTWORK IN CRITIQUES. I don't care if you rip it to pieces (well, of course I do because I've got heart insanely sensitive heart which could give way at any second, but it's for the best). ESPECIALLY YOU, REG. ): I want to draw well. And you guys need to help me, loves.
:pointr: Commissions are still open. Trust me--you aren't killing me out of business. You're helping me. Thank you so much, =popcorn1010. Because she has commissioned me 4 times already. So her next commission will be half price. My commissions will always be open. My art trades will always be closed. As will be my requests. Also, if you could advertise my commissions for me, I would be endlessly gracious. QwQ I want to say something else, but I can't think of anything.

Junk Ramble
:pointr: Small Seto got a bath. He hates it of course. But he's so pathetically cute when he's wet. -is such a sucker for cute things- I mean, he's like -epic skinny- and all wet. And spiny. And sad. I'm so mean, but I love seeing the kid miserable. I love picking on cute, helpless creatures, okai!? I'm evil! But do I care? He makes the most adorable sounds when he's sad.
:pointr: More about Seto: the other day, I was eating breakfast, and I had a cup of milk. Seto, and the bottom of the table saw the cup and instantly just KNEW it was for him. (I mean why wouldn't it be for him? The whole world was created just for him. OBVIOUSLY.) So he crept/leapt onto the chair and sniffed at the cup. And then he made his decision, "I'm going to drink this milk." So he sticks his little wet nose into the cup. But of course, I pulled the cup away. He ended up enjoying a nice bowl of milk anyway. Not mine, though. His own. Bulimic little cat, he is.
:pointr: Who else is death-defyingly busy this "summer"? D: I hate having classes. And after two weeks, I'm leaving for three weeks--not on a vacation, of course. More classes. I have three things going on this summer, and they are three different types on classes, DAMMIT. >m<
:pointr: Last thing, I promise. I'm active on neopets again. No, I'm not proud of it. But still. If any of you wanna say "hi", I'm komodo_matta. Things have certainly changed on neo.

I hate having low self esteem. >m<

hm... in terms of painterly affects I find that if you go to Window > brushes > other dynamics > opacity jitter, that setting works pretty well (with a round hard brush).

Set the control to pen pressure. And it should work just fine at 0%

Use opacities mainly ranging from 40%-100%. As a general rule, always use the highest opacity possible and the biggest brush possible that still operates as you like it to. Aslo, use the eye dropper tool a lot for blending.

I hope that helps, at least a little ^^;

hmm... I don't know much on photoshop, but on paintshop I just ignored all tutorials ane experimented with everything. And I love your art and I won't slaughter it.

Most of the time I don't see the mistakes until I'm done lining. But by then I'm too lazy to change it. And I'm afraid to show people. -JohnSu cower-
