For those of you who have read the Crucible by Arthur Miller, sorry if this isn't how you imagine the characters. The only characters I don't like how I rendered here are Giles Corey and Tituba. (But I did imagine her fat and middle aged. In the movie, she was like 24 and super pretty. >_o Destroyed my image of her.)
My rendition of Elisabeth looks a lot like Winona Ryder as Abigail. Which is an unfortunate event.
Cheever is win. xD I imagined him something of a slimey, greasy guy. Just overall ehhhh.
And I am told Proctor looks like Jesus. Not intentional.
At any rate, Hale is my favourite character. I have so many other pictures of Hale (most of which are of him lamenting how he has betrayed God, etc, etc...) He just seems to me like the most conflicted OMGMYLIFESUCKS guy in the entire play. I mean he's a priest for goodness sakes. And by the end of the play, he finds out that he just murdered like 17 innocent people. HOW GREAT IS THAT.
And for some reason, I stuck in a Chum picture. xD So attractive.
<3 Danforth. He looks so great here.

We're reading this in english. We are also being forced to watch the movie (which i don't like). John Proctor looks like a combo of Sirius Black and Jesus in the movie
yeah same! I imagined him with short, curly hair and now i can hardly remember my version of him because the movie one keeps popping in my head when i try. lol
yes...we are reading it now. I am sad to say i don't like it. I would like the story if it weren't so elaborated with thousands of words I don't know and if it didn't go on and on and on about the same thing. When I read, i visualize the characters acting their scene in my head. When stories go on and on about descriptions, words completely lose all meaning and i fall asleep
I really like this. I like how you've characterized them all with their expressions as well as their general looks. I like how Proctor and Hale both have similar expressions, but, just the way I'm looking at it, I can tell that there are subtle differences (which...you know, is good, the characters are different).
But thank you SO SO SO much for this comments. alskfhsolfdeifh. Just made my life. Hahaa. Character differentiation is something that I've been struggling with forever and I know I still need a lot of work, but this is encouraging. So thanks.
The movie, ehhh.
Hale. By god. What is your hair in the movie.
And I was just.
What.
And thus, my pictures of Hale. (:
Have you read the Scarlet Letter yet?
I absolutely adore Dimmesdale. In fact, I draw him still so regularly that he's practically one of my few characters.
Aie, but I should not give away any spoiler. It is good stuff. (:
